Almost a month before the November 3 general election, Los Angeles County officials have begun sending its residents their mail-in ballots.
In a postage sent to all L.A. County voters, officials announced that “All registered voters will be mailed a ballot no later than October 5.”
Information on how, when and where to vote is also being sent out to all L.A. County registered voters. You can drop off your filled-out ballot at any ballot drop box near you, which will be open from October 5 to November 3. In-person voting centers will be open from October 24 to Election Day, November 3.
“This is a long ballot, so we encourage voters to take the time to review their choices and, when they’re ready, vote and return their ballot early,” said Dean C. Logan, Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk in a statement. “Voting early is convenient for voters and allows our office to begin processing ballots sooner so more can be included in Election Night results.”
You can access the official website at plan.lavote.gov to find your nearest ballot drop box and voting center. Additionally, the County provides other resources such as guides on how to vote, what will be on the ballot and resources for voters such as victims impacted by wildfires.
If you are planning to vote, make sure to register here before the October 19 deadline.
On November 3, you will have the opportunity to vote for the next governor, your next mayor, all 80 California Assembly seats and 20 Senate seats, as well as whether or not the 14 new propositions will pass.
