The Bears will have starting right guard Jonah Jackson against the Patriots on Thursday after all. Despite leaving the Falcons game with a hip injury and the team casting doubt on the possibility early in the week, he was full-go on the final injury report Wednesday.
Jackson has been one of the Bears’ most reliable offensive linemen over the last two seasons and hasn’t missed a start.
They will, however, be missing No. 2 running back Kyle Monangai for the third consecutive game. He injured his thumb and toe while taking 30 carries in the win over the Jets on Oct. 4, and will get nearly a month off before potentially returning for the Seahawks game Nov. 2.
The Bears also ruled out backup linebacker Jack Sanborn with a concussion, listed starting linebacker T.J. Edwards as doubtful as he works back from a hamstring injury and designated cornerback Tyrique Stevenson questionable with a hamstring injury. Stevenson has fought through injuries most of the season, and the Bears projected him as a full participant all week.
The team didn’t practice due to the quick turnaround, opting for walk-throughs each day. That means any practiced participation was estimated.
The Patriots ruled out five players, including three starters: right guard Ben Brown (knee), left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) and cornerback Carlton Davis (neck).
Safety Kevin Byard (chest) is questionable, and star wide receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) will play.
